Texts

The only text you'll need to begin with is Allen Rogers Benner's Selections from Homer's Iliad (University of Oklahoma Press, 2001). You should also have a good translation of the Iliad and Odyssey; I recommend Fagles' translation, or Lattimore's.

It is available at amazon and the usual outlets.

There is a dictionary in the back of this text, as well as a grammar, which you can supplement with Smyth and the resources in the classics library (especially Cunliffe's Lexicon).

Assignments will be posted regularly on our assignments page.
