- Monday October 28 Vocab quiz through 6β. Read 6β "ὁ μῦθος" through page 85 line 25; read all of the grammatical info in 6β, paying special attention to the section on the uses of the dative on page 88.
- Wednesday October 30 Reread the end of the story in 6β. Read the story that begins 7α and read through the grammar info in 7α; we will discuss new noun forms in more detail on Wednesday. Quiz on the middle forms of λύω, φιλέω ανδ τῑμάω learned so far; see pages 77-78; sample here.

- Wednesday November 6 Finish 7β "ὁ κύκλωψ" and learn new noun forms: ὁ χειμών, ὁ κλώψ, and ὁ ῥητωρ (see pages 107 and 288-289). Study the forms of σὠφρων, σῶφρον and τίς / τις. Do exercise 7η.
- Friday November 8 Quiz on third-declension nouns: ὁ φύλαξ, ὁ or ἡ παῖς, τὸ ὄνομα, ὁ χειμών, ὁ κλώψ, and ὁ ῥητωρ. Reread the part of 8α "πρὸς τὸ ἄστυ" we read in class, and finish it. Learn the new participle forms on 115-116. Do exercise 8β. Read all culture sections in 8α.
- Monday November 11 Holiday!
- Wednesday November 13 Read 8β "πρὸς τὸ ἄστυ" and do exercises 8δ and 8ε (1-6 only). Learn the material in chapter 8β. Quiz on vocab chapters 1-8.
- Friday November 15 Read the language information and culture section in 9α and learn all 9α vocabulary. Read the story that begins 9α, "ἡ πανήγυρις."
- Monday November 18 Quiz on forms of the present participle of εἰμί, παιδεύω (works like λύω), φιλέω, and τῑμάω (see pages 136-137). Awesome participle/adjective practice sheet here. Do exercise 9β. Read the story that begins 9β. Read through chapter 9β but don't worry too much about the new third-declension nouns. Eventually you will be responsible for the forms of ἡ πόλις, τὸ ἄστυ and ὁ βασιλεύς.
- Wednesday November 20 Read through Chapter 10α and learn the future of λύω on page 158 and try to understand the other groups of futures that are presented after...asigmantic contracted futures, deponent futures, the future of εἰμί. Read the story that begins 10α, "ἡ σύμφορα." Write out your translation; if you can't be in class because of the strike, send me your translation via email.
- Friday November 22 Make sure you have read the culture section from 10α. Read through Chapter 10β and write out a translation of the story that begins it. Be able to conjugate the future (active and middle, indicative and infinitves) of λύω and μένω. Verb conjugation practice sheet here.
- Monday November 25 Do exercises 10ι, 10κ, and 10λ. Read through chapter 11α; translate the first two paragraphs of the story that begins it.
- Wednesday November 27 (day before Thanksgiving) Read through chapter 11β. Translate the story that begins it (it's a long one) paying careful attention to the tenses of verbs and participles.
- Froday November 29 Holiday
- Monday December 2 Do exercises 11λ, 11μ, and 11ν; quiz on principal parts: list here. Sample quiz here.
- Wednesday December 4 Read Chapter 12α and learn vocabulary. Write out a translation of the story that begins it (we did the first paragraph in class). Learn the forms of the first aorist.
- Friday December 6 Write out a translation of the rest of the story that begins 12β (we stopped at line 9). Be very careful to get the verband particiciple tenses correct. Quiz on the present and (first) aorist of παιδεύω. Sample quiz here.
