Santiago de Cuba 30 de Junio de 1708=

Los alcaldes del Lugar del Cobre asi que reciban esta se veran con el Capitan de dicho Lugar y este juntara toda su gente luego luego y mañana Domingo pasara muestra a toda ella y la tendra prevenida con sus Armas y el Martes a las ocho de la mañana se ha de hallar con ella en este Cuerpo a Guardia sin escrepar en nada a lo referido, y que vengan todos bien vestidos segun cada uno pudiere y con su caja de guerra si la tuvieren y en buen orden.

Santiago de Cuba June 30, 1708=

The bailiffs of the place [lugar] of El Cobre as soon as they receive this [note] will meet with the Captain of the said Place and the latter will gather all his men immediately. Tomorrow Sunday he will review them and will have them ready with their Arms. On Tuesday at eight in the morning he will report with them to this garrison without fault in all the referred above. And they should all come well dressed according to their possibilities and with their war drum if they have one and in good order.
